Came to throne by murdering the earlier ruler and his cousin Ala ud din Mujahid Shah Bahmani. 
Daud ruled for a month.
Ala ud din Mujahid Balawant's followers murdered Daud, blinded Daud's son Sanjar and placed Daud's cousin Muhammad on the throne.
