Muhammad Shah Bahmani-I (1358–1375 AD)
Actual struggle between Vijayanagara and Bahamani kingdoms was started
during Muhammad Shah Bahmani-I's period.
Vinyaka Deva Son of Kapayanayaka.
Bukka send 20,000 men to help Vinayaka.

Muhammad Shah Bahamani won the battle. Pact.
Muhammad Shah's surprise attck on Vinayaka Deva. MSB killed Vinayaka
Deva. On return MSB was wounded by Kapaya Nayaka's guerilla army. Out of 4,000
Soldiers only 1,500 returned to Gulbarga.
Kapaya approached FST for help. This enraged Muhammad Shah Bahamani I
and he invaded on Telangana. Muhammad defeated kapaya. Kapaya had no option but
pray for peace. Kapaya gave MSB the GOlconda fort and a Turquoise (వైడూర్యము) throne, which was
used by Bahamanis as a royal throne.
Muhammad shah reorganised the artillery and used it against
Vijayanagara. But in direct fight there was no clear victory of Bahamans during
his period over vijayanagar.
The reign of MSB marked the beginning of an independent Deccan
architecture.
MSB banned use of wine in public and ordered for the closure of
distilleries.
MSB was succeeded by his son Ala ud din Mujahid in 1375.
