Iqta Muqti

Iqta was a piece of land usually given to government officer in lieu of his salary.
It is also considered as the division of a kingdom. During Delhi Sultanate period kingdom was divided into Iqtas.
Head of Iqta was Muqti.
Muqti has to supply military troops to Sultan when ever he asks.
Muqti should maintain the army from the revenue he gets from the Iqta given to him.
