Ansari, Dr (1880–1936) A medical doctor by profession, he was initially
involved in the Muslim League politics and presided over its 1920 session.
But later he became a Congressman and was the president of the Madras
Session (1927) of the INC. He participated in the Civil Disobedience
Movement and was imprisoned twice in 1930 and 1932.
