Durand, Sir Henry
Mortimer An ICS
officer of distinction, he was the
foreign
secretary to the government of India between 1884 and 1894 and was
the
Chairman of a commission which drew up the famous ‘Durand Line’ to
mark the
boundary between India and Afghanistan.
